I knew this wedding was going to unlike any other I had photographed previously. While I grew up within a BART train ride from San Francisco, I had never imagined that while living as an adult in much further Northern California behind the redwood curtain, I would be called back to create for a couple.
A bride and groom in love with each other and in love with the city.
I met Jenn at a wedding I was photographing for one of her dear friends. I was so excited to learn that she had chosen me to capture her in a wedding dress, after having taken portraits of her in her bridesmaid dress. I love it when bridesmaids get their turn in the bridal spotlight.
The couple chose Hotel Whitcomb for their hotel and following their lead, I did too. Staying the night before their wedding insured that no traffic or potential car shenannigans were going to stop this traveling wedding photographer from making it happen.
As stunning as City Hall was, as adorable as their rental trolley car, and as luxe as their reception restaurant was, I fell most in love with the hotel. I felt like it had a million secrets and historic stories it wanted to tell me.
